5. Shenandoah Permaculture Institute Shenandoah Permaculture Institute will be hosting an in-person Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) course this fall in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Adult May Backpacking Trip Whether you have backpacked for weeks or are just getting comfortable with multi-night trips, this trip is designed to move at a moderate pace. We will learn some important plants along the way and discuss ecology as we descend from the tippy tops of the ridge down into Glass Hollow in Afton. As a special treat, on Sunday morning we will have a full wildflower workshop where we will make time for drawing and journaling, and you will get to practice identifying plants with a Field Guide book. When you return home, you will be equipped to continue your learning without your instructors!
